EL-112 Four Band Parametric Equalizer

€ 2,900

The EL-112 is an advanced 2-channel equalizer to meet the versatility demands of professional recording and mastering engineers. The EL-112 features 4 parametric bands. Special analog design techniques has been used to obtain a precise control of the sound structure down to the minimum details.

The EL-112 is based on Livio Agentini’ s patented single-stage parallel filters. This innovative phase coherent EQ design offers the lowest distortion/noise specifications, not available on similar units on the market.

The Elite series has been conceived as a modular series for maximum reliability and performance.

The EL-112 input section provides a continuous input level control in the -10/+10 dB range. A peak level detector (LED) circuit indicates when the output level is -6 dB with respect to the saturation level. The equalizer can be excluded by a true-bypass button (LED indicator).

The filtering section is based on 4 bands, LO, MID1, MID2, HI. For each band three potentiometer controls are available: frequency control, Empasis/De-Emphasis, Q. The Emphasis De-Emphasis control is assisted by a three position switch (+, off, -) that selects Emphasis, Off or De-Emphasis. In this way the full 270 degrees range of the potentiometer can be used permitting a very accurate control of the equalization in the range 0/+10 dB for each setting. The Q is controlled by a potentiometer.

The EL-112 is an innovative and flexible equalizer, ready to take its place in any high profile recording, mastering broadcast and live activities

    EL-112 Key-Technologies

  • MODULAR TECHNOLOGY (MOD)

Modular means that the unit can be custom configured by choosing the right module from a set of standard modules or by choosing custom designed modules suitable for specific applications.
  • LARGE BANDWIDTH (LBW)

Large Bandwidth (LB) means a very fast transient response able to represent the original sound with the maximum temporal resolution. LB is required to improve the perception of a “real sound” and to represent the details of the original sound.
  • PERFECT SQUARE WAVE (PSW)

Large bandwidth plus very low total harmonic distortion means a perfect square wave reproduction.
  • ULTRA LOW NOISE (ULN)

Ultra Low Noise (ULN) active and passive components and ULN design techniques. This requirement is especially important when the audio bandwidth is large as in the case of ARREL Audio products.
  • VERY HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE (VHDR)

Very High Dynamic Range (VHDR) means that the saturation probability of the output stages is extremely low. This is obtained by using special rail to rail circuits and by increasing the power supply voltage of the analog circuits.
  • ELECTROMECHANICAL FAULT TOLERANCE (EFT)

Electromechanical tolerance means that electromechanical components are doubled in every situation in which maximum reliability it is important due to a frequent use (switches, push buttons, potentiometers).
  • THROUGH-HOLE TECHNOLOGY (THT)

Through Hole technology means the maximum reliability in terms of thermal and mechanical stresses especially for connectors and electromechanical components.
  • LOW PHASE DISTORTION EQ (LPHD EQ)

Special patented circuits guarantees very low phase distortion in ARREL equalizers and filters.
